ANNOUNCEMENT
45-Day Workshop on Proofing and Formatting
Applications are invited for a “45-day Workshop on Proofing and Formatting” of Research Papers in Linguistics. The workshop may (tentatively) start from 16 December 2019 (5 days per week excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Government holidays). Interested candidates with knowledge / training on Linguistics may send the application along with copies of relevant documents by speed post/courier/e-mail to the address given below on or before 10 December 2019.

The name of the shortlisted candidates will be announced on Institute’s website and communicated through email. Preference would be given to the candidates who have the following eligibility.
▪ Proficiency in English
▪ Proficiency in proofing, editing and reviewing manuscripts of Linguistics ▪ Proficiency in evaluating the quality and authenticity of the content
▪ Knowledge of Interlingual glossing
▪ Familiarity with International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) symbols
▪ Knowledge of formatting in the given style sheet such as APA/LSA/MLA ▪ Knowledge of MS-Word and data inputting in Unicode
An honorarium of Rs.800/- will be paid per working day.
CIIL will reimburse the expenses (for outstation candidates) incurred towards travel (by 3AC / Non AC Bus) on production of onward and return tickets to Mysore. Candidates from within the city would be paid Rs.100/- per day as Local Conveyance. Accommodation will be provided on the campus (depending upon the availability) at a subsidized rate if requested in advance.
